Disney Mountains Video Book Review
If you are the kind of Disney fan who hears the words Space Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain and immediately starts smiling, this Disney Mountains video review is for you. Disney has built some of the most memorable thrill rides and themed environments in the world around mountains, peaks, summits, and volcanoes. These attractions are not just roller coasters or water rides. They are icons. They are landmarks. They are the giant, story-filled backdrops that define entire lands and parks. That is why a book devoted to Disney mountains is such a fun concept. It takes a subject that most Disney fans already love and gives it the full deep-dive treatment.
Love the Disney Mountains?

Does the idea of tackling Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and Splash Mountain make you strap on your Disney lederhosen for a fun day at the parks?
What about Matterhorn Mountain? Or Mount Mayday or Mount Gushmore? Have you ever experienced Mount Prometheus? And don’t forget about Grizzly Peak or Expedition Everest.
From Disneyland to Walt Disney World and across the globe to Tokyo DisneySea and beyond, Disney mountains help shape the identity of each park. Some are thrilling. Some are funny. Some are mysterious. All of them show how Disney Imagineers use scale, story, and design to turn a pile of steel, rockwork, and concrete into something unforgettable. That is part of what makes Jason Surrell’s The Disney Mountains: Imagineering at Its Peak such an interesting read for fans who want more than a quick glance at their favorite attractions.
And if you want learn everything there is about the Disney Mountains from all of the Disney Parks worldwide…where do you look?

What’s Your Favorite Disney Mountain?
This book is a great pick for Disney park fans, attraction history buffs, and anyone who enjoys learning how themed spaces are created. Whether your favorite is the wild ride through the Old West on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, the icy curves of the Matterhorn, or the towering majesty of Expedition Everest, there is something especially fun about seeing them all connected in one volume. It is basically a mountain range made of Disney nerd joy, which is not an official geological term, but it should be.

Hi,
Thank you for all the great videos and info!
I follow you on many platform and so enjoy all of posts.
I love your book reviews.
I am also a Disney book collector.
I am trying to find out why there are 2 different covers on the Disney Mountains Book. I know the book was published in 2007, what I have found is that date corresponds with both covers (not sure if that is correct). Were there 2 covers, maybe a second printing or am updated version of the book?
Any info would be great.
Thank you,
Barb
Barb-I haven’t been able to find a different cover form the one that’s released in 2007. Do you have a link to one?

Thanks Barb
Barb–the ISBN and publication date are the same. I’ve never seen that cover before, so I wonder if it was a psecial publication done for a different market–but Disney usually doesn’t do that. I would assume that it is the exact same book.
Thank you for your help, I appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. I am going to stick with the original cover.
Looking forward to more great book videos and reviews.
Have a good day
Barb
