  1. I have been going to WDW since their first year of operation. Our first trip was July 4, 1972. We stayed at The Contemporary and since have returned hundreds of times (AP). My cousin was the first GM of World Showcase and also ran Downtown Disney and Adventures By Disney in his career with the company. I have loved the monorail and have been digitizing my old videos and photos.
Over 20,000 photos and 1000 hours of video. I will soon be posting my six rides on the monorail in the engineer’s compartment. I will also be posting a video of the monorail ride at Disneyland during the construction of California Adventure. One other video I have is of the first day of the new monorail at Disneyland. I even have a video of a monorail being towed backwards for repairs. Speaking of backwards there are at least two WDW commercials where the monorails are traveling backwards.
I am an avid collector of all things Disney including a complete set of Eyes And Ears , a mostly complete set of Disneyland Line , a set of En Coulisse (Disneyland Paris castmember newspaper) and others. The boat captains had their own newsletter (Oars And Ears) , as did most other departments (bus drivers , food prep , housekeeping). Do you know if the monorail operators had a newsletter?
    Always enjoy your reviews .
