#ThanksThunderRoad Celebration Underway at Carowinds

It’s hard to believe that the iconic Thunder Road at Carowinds is going to see its last rider on July 26, 2015. Thunder Road was one of the handful of coasters built in the 1970s that helped lead the wooden roller coaster revolution and ushered in this most recent age of hyper-, mega- and giga-coasters. I know that I’ll be making an other visit or two to enjoy a final ride on Thunder Road. #ThanksThunderRoad.
