Justice League: Battle for Metropolis at Six Flags over Georgia

Justice League: Battle for Metropolis is a dark ride that opened in the spring of 2017 at Six Flags over Georgia. The dark ride premiered in 2015 at Six Flags over Texas and SIx FLags St. Louis. I had the chance to see the Joker animatronic at IAAPA and it was incredibly impressive. Needless to say, I was looking forward to experiencing this without making a trip halfway across the country.

Check out my spoiler-free review of the ride that includes some history and a look at the queue, including the Cyborg animatronic.

After the ride, you do see your score and you’re ranked within the vehicle and for the day. You’re also led through a DC gift shop and then into the blazing, hot Georgia sun. I do wish there were more shade canopies.

The Hall of Justice looks great and really draws your eye from various points in the Metropolis area.

Overall, it’s s fun dark ride and a much needed family experience for Six Flags over Georgia. I do wish that all the Six Flags and Cedar Fair parks would add more family-friendly attractions that could be enjoyed by people that don’t want to ride the coasters. Or aren’t tall enough. Most of the complaints I hear about the regional amusement parks center around there not being enough for families with pre-teens and Tweens to do.

Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman statues in the queue inside the Hall of Justice. How weird would it be to come to work every day and see a statue of yourself?
