Disney World Millennium Celebration Planning Video 1999
As the world was getting ready to party like it was 1999, Disney geared up for its own Millennium celebration. Hot off the heels of the 25th Anniversary Celebration (1996-1998), Disney realized that year-long celebrations gave them a tremendous marketing push and provided fans a new reason to return. After that, Disney started a decade of 18-month celebrations. With the 25th Anniversary in 1996, they followed with The Millennium Celebration (1999-2001) and then the 100 Years of Magic (2001-2003) to celebrate the birth year of Walt Disney. Disney moved to the West Coast to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Disneyland and these 18-month long celebrations faded away. Granted, Disney did celebrate larger milestones for the parks before 1996, but not at the same level.

Disney World Planning Videos
Long before Disney+ and video sharing sites, the only way to watch videos of Disney Parks was during the occasional sitcom visits or by ordering the ubiquitous planning videos. The videos were usually 45 minutes long and detailed all of the parks, including footage of the major attractions, the different resorts, and the non-park activities (Pleasure Island, River Country, etc.).
